The primary function of the Kimberley Economic Development Officer is to continue to expand and diversify the local economy while maintaining the desirable cultural, environmental, recreational and social characteristics of the community.

The Economic Development Officer supports community development through research, by acting as a government liaison, by offering assistance and guidance to businesses and community organizations and through open communication and marketing.

Kimberley is an entrepreneurial business friendly community with a highly skilled, motivated workforce. Although tourism is the fastest growing component of the City’s economy, a broad range of first class infrastructure is in place to support most other economic activities.
